The man met with a Darien Animal Control officer on Tuesday, Nov. 6, when he said he was leaving his retail establishment at 365 Boston Post Road, when he noticed a woman on the property walking two dogs.
According to police, one of the dogs defecated on the property, approximately 25 feet from the road. When the business owner approached the woman and asked her to clean up after the dog, she refused. As the two argued, one of the dogs allegedly bit his right thigh.
Police said that when the man told the woman one of the dogs had bitten him on the leg, she simply walked away. The Animal Control officer noted that a bruise and puncture wound was on the man’s leg where he claimed he was bitten. The identity of the woman is currently under investigation.
